Lead fundamental research and innovation in fiber-optic sensing systems, with emphasis on Raman spectroscopy for high-sensitivity trace gas detection

Design, build, and test optical prototypes of next-generation fiber-optic gas analyzers

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate scientific concepts into functional hardware and system-level solutions

Conduct literature reviews, define experimental methodologies, analyze data, and document findings rigorously

Support intellectual property generation, including invention disclosures and patent drafting

Doctor's degree or above in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field

1–3 years of post-graduate research or industry experience in optical sensing, Raman laser spectroscopy, and fiber-optic instrumentation

Proven hands-on expertise in optical experimentation — including alignment, interferometry, laser sources, photodetectors, and signal acquisition

Strong scientific curiosity, analytical thinking, and independent problem-solving ability

Eligibility to work in Hong Kong under one of the following: Hong Kong Permanent Resident status, Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS), Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS), Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates (IANG), Dependent Entry Visa, or other valid work permits
