Lead fundamental research and innovation in fiber-optic sensing systems, with an emphasis on photothermal spectroscopy for high-sensitivity trace gas detection.

Design, build, and test optical prototypes for next-generation fiber-optic gas analyzers.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate scientific concepts into functional hardware and system-level solutions.

Conduct literature reviews, define experimental methodologies, analyze data, and rigorously document findings.

Support intellectual property generation, including invention disclosures and patent drafting.

Education: Doctoral degree or above in Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.

Experience: 1–3 years of postgraduate research or industry experience in optical sensing, photothermal spectroscopy, or fiber-optic instrumentation.

Technical Expertise: Proven hands-on expertise in optical experimentation, including optical alignment, interferometry, laser sources, photodetectors, and signal acquisition.

Core Skills: Strong scientific curiosity, analytical thinking, and independent problem-solving abilities.

Work Eligibility: Eligibility to work in Hong Kong under one of the following: Hong Kong Permanent Resident status, Top Talent Pass Scheme (TTPS), Quality Migrant Admission Scheme (QMAS), Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates (IANG), a Dependent Entry Visa, or another valid work permit.
